May 15th, 2024

We’re so thrilled to share we’re joining the United Way of Greater Kansas City family! Kanbe’s Market is a part of this year’s Impact 100, a group of local nonprofits working to address our community’s most critical health and human service needs. This designation provides unrestricted funding to support our work.

"We're excited to be acknowledged as an Impact 100 organization by the United Way of Greater Kansas City, among many other outstanding organizations," said Max Kaniger, CEO at Kanbe's Markets. "This acknowledgment validates our mission to not only alleviate food insecurity but also to build a more sustainable and inclusive food system for our community."

This year’s Impact 100 represents all six counties served by United Way of Greater Kansas City
and includes strong representation for communities of varied race, color, history, culture and background. Broadly, they aim to improve health, enhance educational and youth opportunity
and foster financial security. Kanbe's Markets' inclusion in this esteemed cohort underscores our commitment to serving the diverse needs of Kansas City and beyond. Being named an Impact 100 organization is a testament to the dedication of our team and the support of our community.

“United Way is more than a fundraising organization,” Rosson said. “We are a community-centered, solution-oriented, problem-solving organization for those who need it most, where they need it most and when they need it most.”

As we celebrate this milestone, Kanbe's Markets extends its gratitude to United Way of Greater Kansas City and reaffirms our commitment to creating a more equitable and resilient food system for all. Thank you, United Way! Together, we’re building a Kansas City where all can thrive!
